Scout program terms.

Plain-language guardrails for safe property referrals.

Last updated: August 9, 2026. These operational terms are editable by Oilgate Realty and should receive legal review before a public reward program launches.

Referral only

Submitting a property does not make a scout an employee, agent, broker, representative, or authorized negotiator for Oilgate Realty. Scouts may not make offers, commitments, promises, or representations on Oilgate's behalf.

Safe and lawful information

Submit only information you are legally entitled to share. Do not trespass, enter a property without permission, misrepresent your identity, harass an owner or occupant, access private records, or pressure anyone to sell.

No purchase or compensation guarantee

A submission does not require Oilgate to investigate, contact an owner, make an offer, acquire a property, or pay compensation. When a reward is offered, eligibility is subject to the then-current program rules, applicable law, verification, duplication rules, lead quality, owner approval, and any completed-acquisition condition selected by Oilgate.

Duplicates and prior knowledge

Oilgate may already know about a property or receive it from multiple sources. All submissions may be captured for review, but duplicate submissions are not guaranteed compensation. Oilgate's internal record and review control the duplicate determination.

Verification and updates

Oilgate may verify submitted information and request additional details. Scouts should correct information they later learn is inaccurate. Never invent information to improve a referral's completeness signal.

Privacy

Contact details, seller context, photos, notes, and referral records are handled as private business information. See the privacy notice for additional detail.

Program changes

Oilgate may update, pause, limit, or end the referral program prospectively. Any published reward amount must come from an active owner-approved rule, not from this website's default copy.
